Update

Still no internet at home, it's starting to drive me crazy!

I'm at work now. Work is slow, nothing to do. I picked the best time to move here and work with real estate! Lol. No one is buying instead everyone just wants to sell. So I'm sitting and trying to find things, not easy.

The painting in the house is supposed to be done today, I think. I don't understand why it has taken so long! They are only painting the doors and closets in the house plus one wall in the master bedroom. That's all. And yet they have been painting in 2 days, they come from around 7 in the morning and work until afternoon. Very strange.
Everything else is almost fixed, not much left.

Jaleh bought a new bed. She was supposed to buy one bed for the bedroom downstairs. She ended up with buying a bed for herself, lol. They are going to deliver the furnitures (nope, she didn't just buy a bed!) on Tuesday. Then I will start sleeping in the bedroom downstairs, but only until Friday since their friends are coming from Sweden.

Anyhow, it has been very tough these days because without internet me and my bf can't talk. And I'm getting pretty fed up with here and the attitude of some people.
I need to make some sort of planning, a good one, so I can be back on track soon. All I know is that I can't go on like this, then it's not worth for me to stay here.
I really don't want to give up, but we'll see what happens.

Move

We have moved now, the house is starting to look very nice. There is still some work to be done. Yesterday was an open house there, everyone from carpenters to electricians were there to fix this and that.
But, the internet is not working, or we have to fix it. And since it is not on their name, but under their friend's name, so he has to go and fix it. Which will probably never happen!
So now I have an excuse for not writing! Lol.

As soon as I get the chance, I will put up pictures and updates ;)

My Family

My family are the BEST (yes, my bf is included in my family!). Everything I have is thanks to them, I owe them everything.
Every time I am in trouble, or need any kind of help my family is always beside me and helping me. Even now that I am far away, or especially now is better said, they are doing their best to help me in every way they can. Even if it means to just listen and support me. They have supported me from day one when I told them about my plans, they have even pushed me when I hesitated about this trip, they are the ones who have said everything will be fine, you will be fine and that I can do this.
This is something I will never forget and will always be grateful for.

So thank you! I love you all and miss you so so much!

Welcome to Sharjah

We went to Sharjah one day, god knows for what. It's just beside where Jaleh and them live. This town is good for those missing the small villages! Especially in some areas.

See for yourself ;)

All Roads Lead to....Third Movie

Me and Jaleh should never EVER try to find places on our own! N.E.V.E.R.

The other day we had to go to Abu Dhabi for a business meeting. We had to present our new projects to another real estate company who are our agents. It is around 1 hour from Dubai, but all in all, until you get out of Dubai it will take around 1½ hours. I think Jaleh got a lot of tickets on the way too, one we are sure, cause we saw the flash, but there were some cameras that were turned the other way. We didn't know what they were, so we just assumed they weren't cameras! WRONG! Hahaha.
By now you all know that us two just can't find places! And to top it, they guy we spoke with from the company, could first of all not speak English well, or hardly I should say. And, secondly, he could NOT explain the way!
He told me something that I heard was British Council, it turned out he was saying Prestige Car, hmmmmm. LOL
After driving around ALL of Abu Dhabi (you can drive through and around all of Abu Dhabi in 20 min) for 2 hours, and fighting with each other, swearing at other people, we finally found the place, but couldn't stay, so we just went up, left the brochures and left.
Unfortunately we didn't have time to go around and take pictures, the ones I took was just from in the car and before we started fighting.
Here are some pictures ;)
We went back the next day, this time with the company car and the driver so Jaleh wouldn't get more tickets! LOL. And we had the meeting with them, not that it was a formal meeting, just sitting mostly and talking nonsense, lol.

Job Update

I haven't told you guys about the job! I'm working now! YAY!!!!! I started working where my sister works, at a property company.
It's all new, I'm still learning everything and there's a lot to learn ;) I started a couple of days ago, and I feel like it's going forward. They are starting for the VISA application tomorrow, so some things are actually happening.
Today I met with another real estate agent about him signing an agreement with me, hopefully that will go well too. It was kind of nervous, since I still don't know anything. Thankfully he's been understanding with me, lol. But I managed to answer some of his questions. It felt really good afterwards, I know I can do this.

I've started now and I feel like things are moving forward.

I'm starting to feel better, maybe because I feel like something is happening or maybe it's because of the caffeine rush! I should start drinking more coffe!! I'm starting to look forward, the dreams are slowly coming back and I'm starting to feel optimistic again.

Nazanin, sorry, but I have to get back to you for pictures. I'm too tired now to deal with that ;)

Dreams

I'm not dead! Just dead on energy. I have always been a person with high ambition, very high. But as my bf say, high ambition, low performance, which I hate, but at the end of the day can't deny since it's true.
My head is always up in the clouds, I'm always dreaming, mostly about several things at once. Before I came to Dubai, I was dreaming about it, how it would be, how work would be, when I would get my own place, meeting new people here, etc etc.
That's me, always have been, always with my head in the clouds. And honestly, that's how I like it. I love dreaming, even if most of the stuff never happen, I love having dreams, it keeps me motivated, I have things to look forward too, I know I'm going somewhere then, I have a goal.

But lately, there's been a change, I've stopped dreaming. I don't have the ambitions anymore, I don't have the mental energy anymore. It feels like I don't have anything more, like I lost all my dreams. I've noticed that it affects me in every aspect of life. Something very simple is this blog, I don't have the energy to write, I don't know what I should write about even though there are plenty of stuff to write about.

So please, have some patience with me, I need to get back my ambition and dreams. I'll try to write more often and put pictures meanwhile.

The Cutest Thing

Guess what this is!

Do you know now? Hm...what about with these picture?

A mobile phone!! This is my 4 year old niece's phone, and don't think now it's a very simple phone. It has everything you need, from camera to bluetooth!
It's amazing what they come up with...

1 Month

It's my 1 month anniversary here in in Dubai. I can't believe it's already been a month. This time has passed by so fast I have hardly noticed anything. Maybe that's why I haven't gotten a job either, LOL.
Well, this month has not at all been what I thought would be, for better or worse. I never thought it would feel this tough in such a short time. I also thought I would have a job by now, but I also know it's all my fault that I don't have a job yet ;) All in all it's been a learning month for me, very good.

There's a real estate expo in Dubai these days. And since I'm not working yet I just took someone's business card and entered with that (imagine me doing that!!!! LOL), it was interesting though, to see all the future projects, not only in Dubai, but other places as well. All the crazy types of buildings that they are working on, in all shapes and sizes.
Plus it's a great way to make contacts. Jaleh and I are going back tomorrow, we'll probably spend most of the day there, it is huge over there so you definitely need all the time to check it out.

It's been very bad update with pics in here, and that's definitely not the way it's supposed to be in this blog. I just have to check and see what pics are left to upload here that I haven't, then post it.

On a good note, I'm feeling slightly better today which is nice ;)

Homesick

I know, bad blogger! I know, I know.

It's been kind of though these days, my mum left yesterday and I miss her terribly. I miss home terribly too these days, it's now that I just want to leave and go back home.

Some bad news, I forgot to download the pictures from my mum's camera. That means I don't have the pictures from Al Ain and the mountain. It will have to wait until my mum goes back home next Sunday and someone home can send them to me.

Sorry guys, but I'm just not in mood of writing.

Visa Update

I forgot to tell you guys, I called the department for Visa entries and so I spoke to the customer service there.
It turned out, UAE has changed the rules, yet again! Now the visit visa is back on 60 days and you could buy an additional month. I asked several times because as I explained to the guy, I really do not want to go to jail, especially here! But he explained nicely, no no, it's 60 days and I do not need to do anything (since it sais 30 days in my passport). He just said, call back the next day and talk to an employee of the visa department.
I called again the day after, talked to a woman in the customer service, she just said, no no, no problem, you don't need anything else and hung up.
Now, in this country, no problem may many times mean yes problem, so I'll just probably go to the department with my passport to see if no problem really means no problem. LOL

Job Interview?

Today I had a job interview, or so I thought! I had applied for a job through an ad and they contacted me to set an interview.
I went and searched for the company online and found their webpage, looking through the page I understood that this is not exactly what I thought, since it was all about how to help to set up a business.
Ok, never mind, apparently they have a job opening since they had put an ad I thought!

Weeeeeeeeeeell....

I had an appoinment at 11 pm, I was there quite early, and saw alot of people there too for interview, kind of strange, but still, ok, I'll go with it. It seemed as thought they had a mass interview over there.
So, first I sat and waited in the lobby for around 40 min (luckily I had a book with me), then they called me and said I can come upstairs and wait there, sure I'll do that too. I waited for another 40 something minutes there in a small room filled with other people.
Finally I was called in and it turns out......

It was a HUMAN RESOURCE company!! They did not have a job vacancy, but if you paid 150 Dhs for membership they would send your CV to other companys and so.
So I took my stuff and left promising I would come back to pay.....hm...no, I'm not going back!

It still was a good experience, and since I had a feeling that something is not right here I wasn't angry either. I just wish they would have said in the ad what it was all about, but I guess things doesn't work that way here I better start getting use to it.

And to think, I had the shittiest night ever, couldn't sleep, when I finally fell asleep I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep and I fell really shitty. I then woke up around 7 to go and take a shower and make myself pretty for the interview, LOL.

Anyhow, it was a good experince still ;)

P.S. Today I miss the quitness of the streets at night in Sweden so increadibly much, especially the road beside my parents where the bus stop is, the darkness in the night, the cold, the rain, the emptyness, just me and the road.

Still Sick, BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I'm still stick! This damn cold just don't want to go away! I went to the doctors today, the Iranian hospital, as usual when you go to the doctors in these countries, you just get alot of pills, she gave me some pills for the dizziness I've been having without even knowing the reason for it, hmmm, and I'm a person who usually is very restricted on taking tabletts, unless necessary I won't take any, just ask my bf who always fights with me, lol.
Whenever I meet Iranians from Iran I feel like they are from another world, or perhaps it's the other way around. I'm from another world. But how can Iranians be sooooooo different??? It truly amazes me! And it always ends up with me feeling more Swedish than ever. I mean, everything is different, the way we talk, expresses ourselves, the A T T I T U D E, just about everything, we hardly even look alike.
Anyway...always a pleasure!

After that I was meant to come home to talk to my baby and rest, but we went to MOE instead, had to help mum with some shopping, she's leaving on Sunday :((((

I'll tell you all about yesterday another day, I'm too tired to concentrate and put up any photos now (Sorry Nazanin!). But we went to Al Ain and the mountains, very beautiful! We found a hotel in the middle of the mountain and stayed there for dinner. It was really heavinly air at night up there! You could breathe easily, no humudity, around 25C. PERFECT!
The pics will come up later ;)

I'm a bit nervous for tomorrow, will tell you all about it, tomorrow! I want to get it done first ;)

Ok....gotta go now, bye for now
